Nicolò Barella, born in 1997 was the last to leave the Rossoblu nest. He is now a key player for the Italian National Team. He made his way from the Academy to the first team, wearing Cagliari’s armband before moving to Inter Milan.

Marco Sau
During his long career at the top of national football, Marco Sau has been able to score 49 goals for Cagliari. He left the Club in 2019, and after seven exciting years, he is now considered a veteran striker of the Italian Serie A.

Nicola Murru is a versatile and consistent defender who grew up in Cagliari’s youth sector. Able to play as both a left and right winger indistinctly, he has had important roles in teams like Sampdoria and Torino in the Italian Serie A.

Andrea Carboni, central defender born in 2001, stars in the Italian U19 National Team and is consistently called to Cagliari’s 1st team. He made his debut in the Italian Serie A in the 2019-20 season and represents the future of Cagliari football together with Federico Marigosu, Riccardo Ladinetti, and Luca Gagliano.

He made his debut in the Italian Serie A in the 2019-20 season and represents the future of Cagliari football together with Federico Marigosu, Riccardo Ladinetti, and Luca Gagliano.

Michele Masala is the youngest of our Cagliari’s alumni. He made all the steps from Cagliari’s Academy to the youth sector. Thanks to his extraordinary abilities, Michele is a key player of the Italian U16 National Team as well as the first 2004-born ever to have made his debut in the “Primavera Championship”, Italy’s most important youth league.
